Checked out Wedding Bowl area during the break in the weather today. Observed rapid warming at low elevations during the mid day sun, and noted some recent, small loose snow avalanches in steep terrain at mid and upper elevations. We dug a quick snowpit at 2500′ on a north facing slope in wedding bowl. There was 75cm of storm snow from recent days above an obvious crust layer. Our tests identified a few different layers within the new storm snow, but none of those layers propagated in our extended column test, and the overall structure of the storm snow looked good. No cracking or whoomphing observed.
