Lured out by the sunshine, ventured out for a quick late afternoon Troy lap. Took the standard Troy uptrack and low-angle exit through Rescue Meadow and the bottom of Slow Boat. Not surprisingly, found a mix of scalloped ice and a dusting of light snow stashed in the troughs of the runnels and a smattering of half-way-decent turns in 1-2″ of powder in the most wind-protected spots. Crust unbreakable on skis, but knee deep boot penetration fairly widespread. Hopefully this storm will heal that layer, but worth watching?
