3-4″ of new on top of soft, rough spring snow. Up Secret Squirrel Route, Black Bear, Pittman’s Ridge. Good visibility.

Avalanche Details

Slow moving sluff. Debris pile 3' deep. Burial would be unlikely, but with a longer run or terrain trap possible.

Observer Comments

Temps still cool (32-34F), no rollers or cinnamon buns. Temps were slowly rising, but no direct sunlight. Full path slides off Showboat Ridge from previous days, new snow covering the ground.

3-4" new snow, no wind, temps 34F increasing. Cloud cover beginning to break up over Ben Stewart. Previous 24 hours had 25F as a low temp, but the snow underneath was friendly to the edges.
