Route & General Observations

Went up traditional route to base of Troy. Notable wx obs was steady breeze and cooling temps in afternoon. Also skin tract is becoming a bobsled track.

Weather

A couple inches of new snow. Winds picking up L/M SSE. Temps dropped in pm to 27F.

Snow surface

Warm pow down low over old crust. Dry snow in alpine.

Snowpack

Between all the motorized tracks and ski tracts, currently pack is proving good times. Same time, numerous pits in a sheltered bench b/w lookers left of Mt. Troy and lookers right of false Troy (2500’/West aspect) showed variable test result. Ranging from ECTP 4, 14, ECTN22, ECTX. All down about 30cm on a thin crust/facet sandwich.
