Route & General Observations

Troy via “normal” route. We did not observe signs of instability. In compression tests we found layers that did not propagate in extended column tests.

Weather

Partly cloudy, lights SE winds, ~20 f.

Snow surface

Settled powder. Lightly wind effect up high.

Snowpack

Snow often had a distinct denser layer below the surface. We dug several pits. I dug on a NW slope ~35 degrees.
Snow depth was 175 cm
CT14 @ 130 cm up from ground.
CT 21 @ 113 cm
CT 23 @ 80 cm (notable ice crust w large grains above)

Extended column test:
Ect No propagation 23 @ 130 up from ground.
