We set out with a low expectation
but oh no need for a frustration
the mountain was kind
it even blew the mind
with powder and views galore.
Should you find yourself in though
should I work today or should I not?
The mountains might say
please do come play
for there you will find untold splendor.

Observer Comments

Some cross loading on the standard winter route up McGinnis. Some avalanches around the recent freezing line on Grandchild's peak. Similar slide above nugget creek area, on the Heintzleman side.

Varied from rime, melt-freeze crust, and powder.

Snowpack

Dug around 1pm, ~3500 ft, WNW Aspect, Apx. 32 degree slope. Snowpack 325cms. Pit 65cms. ETCN12 @ 15cms from surface.
