A cornice fell sometime on Monday the 22nd. Since then avy activity has been seen and/or heard on the surrounding peaks with the hot temps and sun exposure. A larger avalanche was seen but couldn’t find the source somewhere in the Gold Creek basin yesterday as well.
For skiers going down Icy Gulch flagging tape was added near the smaller glory hole as a warning as the current ski track out is very close to the edge.
At this point the main concerns seem to be spring corn cycles releasing and an increased risk of ending up in bad terrain as the mineshafts and hazard begin to awaken.
