Route & General Observations

2,700ft NNW pit on lee aspect from yesterday’s wind/snow event and one 100ft down off the ridge. Fairly clean shear approx 14″ down on 1cm weak layer. Maybe small grain facets from prior cold event, unsure. Also new, fairly stout/supportable rime/ice layer near surface with 1-2cm low density snow sitting on top of it. Depending on wind/weather, this layer could be a future concern. Non-reactive ski cuts on these aspects.
