Route & General Observations

Took the xc skis up Dan Moller. Turned around below the cabin where the trail crosses numerous avalanche paths. Did not get up to the upper bowl. Snowline appeared to be around 1700’. I was up there yesterday (1/21) during the storm and did not see any avalanche activity. Today I observed avalanche debris in almost every slide path above the trail. All of the avalanches had a few things in common: 1) the crown was right at snowline 2) The avalanches were D2 in size and did not run the full length of the path 3) the slides appeared to only contain storm snow and did not step down to lower layers (the one exception of this is the photo below where it appears to have released just above the ground).
