Route & General Observations

Wedding bowl up via grizzly maze. In and out of the clouds. Snow surface was very dense new snow. Several tracks from Saturday with a dusting of new snow.

Weather

Clouds increasing and light snow falling.

Snow surface

Snow was dense and a little punchy/ grabby. Steep lines had been skied the day before w some roller balls and minor sluffs.

Snowpack

Dug a pit: 2600’ north facing.
Thick ice crust about 45 cm down.

Ct13 15cm down
Ct22 45 and 50cm down
Ectn12 15cm down
Ect 26 45 cm below ice crust.
Our group dug a second pit nearby and also got ECT 27 on the same layer.
