Observation: Douglas Island

Standard Stewart up track. Skied in Wedding Bowl and Cropley. Freezing rain crust everywhere, varies form a fun zipper crust in some areas to a grabby pane of glass in others. Steeper slopes skis best. Low tide in Cropley. Wouldn’t recommend Cropley unless you have rock skis, a sturdy helmet, and low standards. The three inches of wetted out snow between the old crust and the new one – was sliding off steeper slopes in the afternoon. Gaining more momentum and going further than anticipated.
