Route & General Observations

We dug a pit on a WSW slope near the top of the valley going up to Mt Troy at roughly 2400 ft elevation. It was around 10 am on Saturday, December 16.

Recorded a snow depth of 220 cm. We performed an ECTX test. The snow wouldn’t collapse and there was no propagation. We detected a firm layer at 40 cm depth with much effort. There was an additional firmer layer at 60 cm depth. We performed a shovel shear and found a clean break.
